With Quick Polls you can easily insert polls in your blog for your readers to vote on. These polls can be placed in any element of the blog, whether it is the header, footer, sidebars, or even the actual blog entries. For instance, you can place a poll in your sidebar to determine what kind of content your readers would like to see more of, or you can place a poll in each entry asking the readers to rate how much they enjoyed that particular piece; you can insert a poll to gauge your audience's familiarity with the international politics scene, or to get a second opinion on which colour is best suited for a young toddler's socks. If there's something that humans have plenty of, it's questions. With Quick Polls you can ask these questions to the whole world.
Depending on where you wish to place the Quick Poll, there are two possible routes to take. If you wish to place the poll in your blog's sidebars, header or footer as a separate widget, you can do so through the standard procedure of inserting a widget on your blog. From the widgets menu option in administration.
Choose the Main Blog area using the radio button. That will present you with the widgets layout.
Depending where you'd like the widget, click the appropriate Add widget icon
This pops up the Widget Browser. Go to the General section and scroll down to find and click the Quick Poll widget. Choose the poll and save.

If, on the other hand, you wish to attach a Quick Poll to an actual blog entry, you can do so using the right hand Control panel on any blog entry edit. Just choose the Settings Tab. Towards the bottom of that panel you'll see a number of icons, one of which is the Quick Poll option.

You can create and edit Quick Polls at anytime, by going to Settings and choosing the Quick Poll (7) icon.
Regardless of where you are inserting the poll on your blog, this page looks the same, as it revolves around the same repository of polls. It looks something like this:

This page allows you to create new polls by clicking on the Edit tab. Just fill in the data and save. Editing a poll, or creating a new one, shows the poll editor:

Poll Question: This is the meat of the entire poll. This is where you ask the readers to share their thoughts, and where you propose the question.
Poll Type: There are two options available here, depending on whether you want the readers to be able to pick more than one option from the list of available ones, or be limited to one alone.
Bar Colour and Bar Height control the respective two different aspects of the bars, the graphical representation of the poll results.
Poll Answers is where you list the different possible answers to the question you have previously asked. Each line is a different options.
Once done, click on Save Poll, and wait for the votes to pour in!
