One of the many services that Google offers to the public, is Sitemaps. Beside improving the visibility of your site on the Google search engine by improving how their search spiders travel through your blog, Sitemaps also gives access to statistics that revolve around how users get to your site through Google searches. Useful indeed!
Lets see how we can get Sitemaps to work with your blog.
Log in to your Administration section, and under the Settings tab, select the Google SiteMaps (12) icon.
Take note of Your blog's Google Sitemaps URL displayed there, (it will look something like this http://yourblogurl/sitemap.gz).

Go to http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/, and sign up with Google (it's free). Set up a new site through the Google Sitemaps interface. You will be prompted for your blog's sitemap URL; use the link you got in the previous step (that ends with .gz). Click on the Verify link next to your site, and copy the file name of the verification file that Google will give you. (It looks something like "http://yourblogurl/googled88cc0aba6df1c46.html". It's important to copy only the file name, the last part of the URL, and not the entire link.)
Back in your blog's administration interface, under the Settings tab, and in the Google SiteMaps icon option. Paste the filename of the verification file from the previous step, (googled88cc0aba6df1c46.html in our example) in the Verification file name field. Finish by clicking on the Ok button.
That's all there is to it. Whenever you post new content, your blog will automatically tell Google, so that their search spiders will come and re-read your sitemap.gz file, thus making sure that all your content is in the Google index as soon as possible.
Cheers!
