Email aliases

posted Thursday, 1 February 2007

With Email Aliases you can create up to ten redirects from virtual email addresses residing in your blog domain, to any other email address. For example, you could have support@my.blog.url.com forward all emails to your real email address. If user Immanuel is an Additional Poster on your blog, you can setup an email alias for him, immanuel@my.blog.url.com which would forward all those emails to his own email address.

Email aliases can also be used as a privacy measure. Don't want to publish your real email address on the blog? Simply create an email alias for it, and publish that one on the blog instead. There's many possible uses.

To create an email alias, in your blog's administration interface, go to the Settings menu tab, and then click on Email Alias(4).

That will show the following page:

Once done creating the email aliases, click on the Ok button to save, and voila!
